Moshtix is the ONLY authorised seller of Splendour in the Grass tickets. DO NOT purchase tickets from unauthorised re-sellers or online auction sites such as Viagogo, Gumtree, or over Facebook. You will lose your money and you will not be admitted to the festival.
Any tickets for Splendour in the Grass that are found to be tampered with or photo shopped, will not be valid. When a ticket is scanned at the entry points, the ticket type and full name of the ticket holder (according to the Moshtix system), will appear on the scanner screen. Staff will check that name along with Photo ID, and if the details do not match, entry will be denied. This means that entry cannot be granted with a photo shopped tickets. The scanners do not lie. Scammers do.
WHAT IF I THINK SOMEONE HAS A COPY OF MY TICKET?
At the event, we will be scanning the barcode on every ticket at the gates. Our scanner will display the name on the ticket; so your ID, our scanner and the ticket must all match. Rest assured, any impostor will be stopped at the gates! However, if you are concerned this has happened before the event, you can get your original barcode cancelled and a new one re-issued. I DIDN'T BUY A TICKET AND PLAN TO FENCE JUMP MY WAY IN. WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET CAUGHT?
As sure as the sun will rise, you WILL get caught.
Any persons attempting to gain entry to Splendour in the Grass without a valid event ticket either on foot, by private vehicle, bus or other means is considered to be trespassing and therefore breaking the law.
Under the Inclosed Lands Protections Act 1901, NSW Police will be issuing on the spot maximum penalty fines for trespassing, and trespassers will be evicted from the Parklands site. All persons travelling to the event via bus will be checked for a valid 2018 event ticket or wristband prior to boarding, and will not be allowed on the bus without this. Stern mum voice here. Consider this your official warning.
Feel free to jump to the music but whatever you do don’t jump fences.
ARE WRISTBANDS EXCHANGEABLE, I.E. CAN I PASS MINE ONTO MY FRIEND IF I DON’T WANT TO STAY?
No, once your wristband is on, it should not be removed for the duration of the event. Event staff will be checking wristbands over the weekend to check for breakages, stretching etc. Any persons found on-site without a valid event ticket/ wristband is considered to be trespassing and therefore breaking the law.
